How to beat the January Blues

curated nutrition january blues sunrise

January can be a tough month with grey skies and freezing temperatures in the UK. If you’re struggling to get out of bed in the morning or not getting enough sleep at night, we have some great tips below to get you through the winter.

  • Natural light keeps your circadian rhythm (our sleep–wake cycle) regulated, exposure to natural light first thing in the morning and getting out during the day are both going to help. Movement can also get your blood flowing, support better breathing and help your mind focus.

  • Relaxing bath with Epsom Bath Salts; we love Westlab’s Aromatherapy range and for extra relaxation add a few drops of NEOM’s Bedtime Hero Essential Oil Blend (for those not keen on lavender)

  • Night time tea - Snooze with Lavender by teapigs

  • Or if you need that extra pick me up during the day try their Up Beet with Hibiscus

  • Journaling, writing down any worries you have in your mind before bedtime, may help to relieve stress and improve sleep. It doesn’t have to be all negatives, you can also put down any positive thoughts and things you are grateful for…
