With summer truly here and this month sees the arrival of summer fruits and herbs plus abundant of vegetables.
Strawberries are at their nutritional peak when they are red, mature and fully riped. To get the best out of strawberries eat them as soon as after harvesting. They are one of the most nutrient-dense fruits around and an excellence source of vitamin C.
Mint is used in serveral food and drinks from teas and smoothies to salads and desserts. It contains good source of vitamin A, antioxidants plus other nutrients. Studies have shown, its health benefits mainly comes from mint taken in capsules, applied to the skin or inhaled via aromatherapy. Peppermint tea and chewing on mint leaves may be more beneficial in reducing bacteria that cause bad breath than chewing gums.
